After having two healthy boys I still longed for my little girl. After falling pregnant for the third time and finding out it was a girl, it was all too unreal for me. When I was 32 weeks pregnant they picked up a problem which they thought was hydrocephalis due to her inlarged ventricles. Once born all seemed well until Bailey turned 4 months and started having seizures. Her already scheduled MRI was moved forward and it was then that we discovered that she had complete ACC (Agenisis Corpus Callosum), after then meeting a peadiatric neurologist and doing futher eye tests etc. discovering that she has Aicardi Syndrome. This is all still new to me as Bailey is only 6 months old now and although she's a big girl she's like a newborn as she still cannot hold her head up with her very low muscle tone. All I can say at this point is although it seems like there is not much hope for my daughter I still love her with all my heart and wish I could make it all better for her!
