Megan Lives in Iowa with her parents Ross and Sandy and her twin brother Brandon. Megan’s older Brother Jake is currently living in Miami Beach Florida
When Megan was 3 months old she began having seizures and was taken to the University of Iowa Hopsitals. After a few days of tests we were told Megan has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, we were also told she was born with three brain tumors called Choriod Plexus Papillomas. It wasnt until she was 4 months old that we were also told that Megan has Aicardi Syndrome.
During Megans first year of life she had four brain surgeries, three were to remove tumors and one was for the placement of a VP shunt.
Since this time Megan has had hip surgery, spine surgery, dental surgey and four surgeries to replace/repair her shunt.
We have learned over the years to take each day as it comes, although we have many struggles and challenges we cant loose focus on whats important and that is “Family.”
We are so lucky to have Megan and she has taught our family so much about unconditional love. She is our sunshine when we wake up in the morning, she brings so much joy to everyone around her and can make you smile even if your having the worst of day.

Megan has two very special Guardian Angels, Grandpa Sommerfeld and Grandma Hartman whom i believe watch over her every minute of every day.
